The Louisville Trust Company was established in 1999 to accommodate investment advisory clients looking for personalized and local trust services. Although LTC's beginnings seem modest, the company's roots go back much further–all the way back to 1975. It was then that Morton H. Sachs established The Sachs Company, a family-owned and operated venture that has become one of Louisville's oldest and most respected investment advisory firms.

As clients matured and found the need for a corporate trustee, they began to look to The Sachs Company for the level of service once provided by trust departments. But times were changing. Traditional trust departments had disappeared. National banks had consolidated and moved their trust services out of the area and even out of the state to the banks' corporate offices. The quality of service faltered. Face-to-face business was no longer the norm.

But where others saw decline, Morton H. Sachs saw opportunity. He applied for a trust charter and tackled the situation head on. Now Louisville Trust Company is one of only a few registered, full-service, independent trust companies in the state of Kentucky. It's a member of the Association of Independent Trust Companies. LTC is a place where people receive first-class personal trust administration, and where corporate clients can find the personalized employee benefits plans they need. Most importantly, LTC has successfully continued The Sachs Company tradition of excellence and commitment to clients.
